Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo National Park
On day 1 of the 5 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari in Uganda, depending on your location in Kampala, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will also be your safari guide during the course of the trip. You will meet at your pick up location very early at 6 am and set off to the Northeastern part of Uganda heading to Kidepo Valley National Park which is located in (Kaboong district). It’s a whole day drive with en-route lunch and arriving at the park late afternoon. Check-in at the park entry office then connect to your booked accommodation facility for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning and afternoon/evening game drive in Narus Valley
On day 2 of the 5 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari in Uganda, wake up early and connect for a morning game drive in Narus Valley. As you enjoy your game drive, bush breakfast will be served, and drive back for more adventure in the savannah plains of Kidepo National Park on your morning game drive in Narus Valley. This area is famous for watching the Big 4 game like lions, elephants, leopards, and buffaloes. If you are lucky, you will be able to view the Cheetahs and hyenas as well. Other animals to see include the kobs, Oribi, Zebras, the giraffes among others.
Return for lunch at the lodge and later afternoon go visit one of the communities around the park for a community tour, learning about the Karamojong culture and tradition. As you drive to the park, enjoy another evening game drive for the missed animals in the park. Before is too late in the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 3: Game drive in Kidepo valley – Hot springs visit
After breakfast, drive back for yet another game drive in the Kidepo valley. This area is further from Narus Valley and it is where you will be able to spot numerous Ostrich birds and other animal species. This area is closer to the South Sudan border with Uganda. You will also visit the hot springs of Kanangorok before you connect to your lodge. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 4: Climb Mount Morungole to visit the IK tribe (4hrs up, 2hrs down)
Have breakfast, and drive to the meeting point of Mount Morungole which lies in the northern hills of Karamoja. The IK people first lived in Kidepo National Park but were relocated to another area when the area was gazetted as a national park. Today, they live on Mount Morungole ridges as a community. Visiting the IK people gives visitors a memorable cultural tour of Africa. You will also enjoy the stunning scenery, the higher the climb takes you, the more it rewards the scenes in the valleys below and into the Eastern rift valley of Kenya and over southern Sudan. Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe
Wake up for the perfect breakfast very early, check out of the lodge, and depart back to Kampala with en-route lunch in Gulu or Masindi towns and other several stops to stretch your body and take some pictures. The journey from Kidepo to Kampala is quite a long driving distance covering about 10 to 13 hours on the road. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at any advised place in Kampala/Entebbe or be dropped off at Entebbe Airport.
