5 Days Rwanda Game and Primate Tour
This 5 Days Rwanda Game and Primate Tour is a short safari but combined with wild game viewing and primitive viewing ‘’Gorilla trekking’’. You will visit Akagera National Park for game drive viewing and boat cruise experience and end the trip with a visit to Volcanoes National Park for a Gorilla trekking experience. The trip starts and ends in Kigali/Airport.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive In Kigali, Transfer To Akagera National Park and Boat Cruise
Depending on your location in Kigali, you will be picked by Rwandan safari guide who will brief you about the safari. Then after, transfer to Akagera National Park where you will arrive in time and go for early morning game drives that will give you the chance to explore a number of game animals especially the herbivore species such as the elephants grazing within the plains, the rhinos. You will also get to view a number of rewarding attractions after your game drive you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch and refreshments. Later go participate in the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will watch game such as hippopotamuses, Crocodiles, and many bird species like the endangered shoe bill stork, and African Kingfisher catching their prey from the Lake that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. Transfer to your pack for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive
Today, wake up early in the morning have a fantastic breakfast, and go for a morning game drive with beautiful anticipation of seeing the different animals that rise early to graze predators can be seen killing their prey during these early morning hours – big cats to be spotted including; leopard, lions and among other carnivores. You will get to watch a number of herbivores like the rhinos grazing within the plains, elephants, gazelle, oribi, and others.
After the morning game drives, you will head back to your hotel for refreshments and later in the afternoon transfer for the evening game drive. As you drive back, you will be able to enjoy beautiful sunsets as well as view predators coming out of their hiding places to catch prey, the herbivores catching their last bite for the day, the crocodiles sun-basking, elephants feeding their thirst from the river banks which makes your safari here worth. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer To Volcanoes National Park
After an early morning game drive, drive back to your lodge, freshen up, and head on your journey to Volcanoes National Park. Arriving in Ruhengeri in the afternoon. You will have lunch at your lodge. After, you can relax at the lodge or opt to do a cultural tour.

DAY 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
You will wake up early morning at around 6:30 am, have breakfast served at the lodge, and pack lunch boxes. As your driver is waiting for you to drive you to Kiningi meeting Centre for the briefing about Gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. After briefing, meet your park ranger guide to allocate you where the gorilla is.
Once, you find them, you will be allowed 1 to 7 hours to spend with them as you get to learn about their behaviors, habits, and photo shooting. After, you will track back to meet your driver and drive you back to the hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport for your scheduled flight.
End of the 5 Days Rwanda Game and Primate Tour.
