4 Days Murchison Falls and Kibale National Park Safari
The 4 Days Murchison Falls and Kibale National Park Safari is a short safari tour package leading you to Murchison Falls National Park in northwestern Uganda and then ends in the southwestern Uganda region in Kibale National Park. This trip combines wildlife viewing and primates experience- ‘’ Game drive, boat cruise, rhino tracking, and chimpanzee trekking among others.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe airport on day 1 of the 4 Days Murchison Falls and Kibale National Park Safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will give you a short briefing about your safari and then set off to Murchison Falls National Park. On your way you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will track the endangered rhinos and after rhino tracking you will proceed to Masindi town for en-route lunch. After lunch, you will continue to drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arriving, you will drive directly to the top of the falls where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the waterfall, birds, animals many others to the lodge check-in have dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari lodge-luxury/ Pakuba Safari lodge-midrange or Parkside safari lodge-midrange.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On day 2 of the 4 Days Murchison Falls and Kibale National Park Safari, you will have an early breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to embark on a morning game drive in the park which begins around 7:00 am. The game drive can last between 4 to 5 hours following various tracks such as the Buliigi game track, Victoria track, and Albert track which offer remarkable views of wildlife species such as elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, buffaloes bushbucks, warthogs, Jackson’s hartebeest, bird species among others. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will drive to the Paraa landing site for an impressive boat cruise on River Nile to the bottom of the falls which starts at around 2:00 pm and takes about 2 hours ride. During the boat cruise, you will have impressive views of the waterfall and cruise meters away from hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, view elephants, buffalos’ warthogs, antelopes drinking water on the water banks, and numerous water birds like kingfisher, Bee-eaters, fish eagles, Herons, cormorants many others. After the boat cruise, you will transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have an early breakfast on day 3 of the 4 Days Murchison Falls and Kibale National Park Safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Kibale Forest National Park. It’s a whole day journey but filled with spectacular views of the local people, farmlands, traditional homesteads, Rwenzori Mountains, tea plantations many others. You will have en-route lunch on the way and stopovers to do picture taking and stretch your legs. Upon arrival, you will continue to the lodge, check in and have dinner and overnight stay at Chimpundu Lodge-luxury/ Chimpanzee Forest Lodge-midrange or Isunga Lodge-budget.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking In Kibale Forest /Depart to Kampala
On your last day of the 4 Days Murchison Falls and Kibale National Park Safari, you will meet up with your guide to drive you to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing about the rules, regulations, and expectations of chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing, you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to trek with and a park guide who is well-conversed with trails in the forest. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on their location because they like to move from one place to another in search of food and once the chimpanzees have been located, you will spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their lifestyle, behaviors, watch them feed, enjoy the juveniles playing up in the trees, take photos and record videos with a flashless camera. After the one-hour encounter with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the park headquarters and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to any advised place of your choice.
