2022 entrance fees to Murchison falls national park; Park entrance fees are the fares charged by Uganda wildlife Authority to all visitors in order to access the park and engage in different activities. Murchison falls national park is the largest and one of the most visited protected areas located in northwestern part of Uganda. The park covers a total area of 3,480 square kilometers which is comprised of different vegetation including woodland, savannah grassland, riverine forest that acts as habitat for different wildlife species. Murchison falls national park is a home of 76 mammal species including elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Jacksons hartebeest, hippos, oribi, giraffes, Nile crocodiles and more than 450 bird species including the prehistoric shoebill stork, secretary birds, Abyssinian ground hornbill, black headed lapwing, grey crowned crane, Senegal thick-knee among others.
Murchison falls national park offers a number of interesting activities that visitors can engage upon arrival including game drives, boat cruise, sport fishing, nature walks/ hiking, chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest, bird watching among others.
A day’s entrance ticket is valid for twenty four hours from the time of entrance and extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day. All visitors will be required to present valid identification documents to confirm their resident status. Children are persons aged between 5 to 15 years and persons below 5 years are exempt.

Annual park entrance pass applies to all protected areas for foreign residents in Uganda and East African citizens only. Foreign residents require a work permit valid for one year to qualify for an annual pass.
