Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Kigali and Travel to Volcanoes NP ‘’Mt Bisoke Hike’’
Start the trip early at around 4:30 am, take a scenic drive from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park, passing through rolling green hills and local villages. On arriving at the park headquarters, you will have a briefing before setting off on the Mount Bisoke hike. The trail winds through lush rainforest and alpine vegetation, leading to a beautiful crater lake at the summit. The trek is rewarding at the sometime challenging, offers sweeping views of the Virunga Mountains and surrounding landscapes.
After descending, connect to your lodge for a late lunch and well-deserved rest. Enjoy a quiet evening, dinner and overnight stay in preparation for your great mountain gorilla trek the following day.

Day 2: Depart for Kigali
Wake up early, enjoy an aromatic cup of coffee or tea. You will then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. After the briefing, meet up with the expert guides who will assign you to a gorilla family based on your fitness level and preferences.
The trek led you through dense jungle, crossing streams and navigating varied terrain. Along the way, your guide will share history about the forest ecosystem, pointing out medicinal plants, bird species, and signs of other wildlife.
After an incredible trek encounter in the forest, connect to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Later, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a state-of-the-art Conservation center dedicated to protecting Rwanda’s mountain gorillas and preserving their habitat.
