After making a choose on where you want to go for Gorilla trekking, check the availability of Gorilla permits with your desired travel date at the ‘’UWA’’ Uganda Wildlife Authority. You can contact them directly or emailing or contact us Achieve Global Safaris for more details. Take note, each day, there are over 162 gorilla permits available and the issuing of Gorilla permits at Uganda Wildlife Authority is based on first come first serve basis. So, we advise visitors to book at least 3 to 6 months in advance. Those who wish to spend more time with the mountain gorillas, book a Gorilla habituation experience which is only done in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Rushaga region.
Book the gorilla permits before you travel to a gorilla safari destination. Gorilla trekking permits costs USD700 per person per day and Gorilla habituation a full day activity – permits costs USD1,500 per person per trek allowing you to spend four hours with these mountain gorillas which first under go habituation training to get used to human presence.
