Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Kibale National Park
On day 1 of the 9 Days Uganda Double Primates Holiday safari, upon your agreed location in Kampala- Entebbe, our company driver guide will pick you up and take you through a short briefing about the trip. Then, set off on the journey w to Kibale Forest National Park while passing via several towns of Mityana, Mubende, Kyenjonjo, and the beautiful town of Fort Portal where you will have an en-route lunch. Arrive at the park late afternoon, check into the lodge, relax as you wait for a delicious dinner and comfortable night stay at Chumpundu Lodge –Luxury, Chimpanzee Capital Safari Lodge –Midrange

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
On day 2 of the 9 Days Uganda Double Primates Holiday safari, wake up early, have breakfast with a packed lunch, and then you will be driven to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing and grouping. Chimpanzee tracking activity is done in a group of 6 individuals. After grouping, you will be accompanied by the park ranger in the forest trails heads in search of chimpanzees. When you find them, you will be allowed one hour to observe as they fight, feed, slap trees, chant, and swing from tree branches before tracking back to the lodge. Track back to meet up with your driver and return back to the lodge. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge above.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On day 3 of the 9 Days Uganda Double Primates Holiday safari, after morning breakfast, transfer from Kibale National Park to Bwindi National Park. Arrive at the park, check into your lodge, and have lunch. After lunch, relax at the lodge as you get already for your next day’s gorilla trekking activity. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge –Mid-Range, Buhoma Lodge – Luxury
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Enjoy an early morning breakfast served at the lodge after carrying your packed lunch boxes and drinking water. Then, will be transferred to the meeting center in the park for a pre-gorilla tracking briefing. After briefing, go meet with the park ranger guide to lead you through forest trails in search of gorillas. Trekking can take 2 to 7 hours depending on their movements. Once you find them, you will be allowed an hour to observe them on the way they interact with each other as well as enjoy memorable photography. After, return to the starting point to be rewarded with your gorilla certificate. Dinner and Overnight at the same lodge above.

Day 5: Leisure at the Hotel/Lodge
On day 5 of the 9 Days Uganda Double Primates Holiday safari, you will stay at leisure around your lodge. Enjoy the unwinding and fresh breathtaking adventure as well as have a sumptuous lunch in a beautiful dining area as you get rewarded with a beautiful view of the nature around. Day 6: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
On day 6 of the 9 Days Uganda Double Primates Holiday safari, after enjoying your relaxed breakfast at the lodge, followed by check out and travel to Mgahinga National Park. Arrive and check into the lodge, relax, and later have lunch.
After lunch, have warm relaxation around the lodge or opt to visit the Batwa pygmies. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Chahafi –Mid-range

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After an early breakfast, carry a packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will hike into the jungle with the help of the skilled ranger who leads you in search of gorillas. As you track through forest trails –you will be able to spot other primates like l’hoest monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, different plant species, and birds among others.
Once you allocate them, you will be allowed one hour to spend them thus giving you a great opportunity to observe their habits, and behaviors, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos as well and record the breathtaking moments to show people back home after the safari. After the one-hour encounter with these unique creatures. You will hike back to the park headquarters to be rewarded with your gorilla certificate. Dinner and Overnight stay at the above lodge.

Day 8: Leisure at the Hotel/Lodge
On this day, you will stay leisurely at the lodge and marvel at the unwinding and fresh breathtaking adventure around. Enjoy an excellent lunch in a beautiful dining area with a gainful view of the canopy forest. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge above.

Day9: Transfer back to Entebbe
After morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala with en-route lunch. Thereafter, continue a drive straight to Kampala to be dropped off at your hotel or to any place of advice. This marks the End of the safari.
