Detailed itinerary for 8 Days Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary
Depending on your location, you will be picked up by our company safari driver guide who will drive you to Murchison Falls National Park, en route Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary 3 hours’ drive from Kampala for a Rhino trekking experience.
After the activity you will have lunch then transfer to Murchison falls national park and upon arrival, you will drive to the top of the falls where you will enjoy impressive views of the waterfall. From the top of the falls, drive to your lodge to rest. Dinner and overnight stay at Twiga safari lodge-luxury, Pakuba safari lodge-midrange or Parkside safari lodge-budget

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to head for a morning game drive where you will be rewarded with great views of animals including buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Oribi, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, Jacksons hartebeest, giraffes among others which will be grazing in the open plains, predators to see ; hyenas, lions, leopards, different bird species and others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will embark for an exciting boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will be able to view large herds of hippos in water, Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, view other animals such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs drinking water along the shores, view water birds among others. After the boat ride, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kibale Forest National Park known as home to kingdom primates. On the way you will have en-route lunch, stopovers to take beautiful pictures, stretch your legs and enjoy spectacular views of the beautiful scenery, Rwenzori mountain ranges, Lake George, crater lakes, tea plantations among others. On arrival, Kibale national park you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Chimpundu lodge-luxury/ Chimpanzee forest lodge-midrange or Isunga lodge-budget

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After an early breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Kanyachu visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest in look of the habituated chimpanzee family. During the trekking you will be able to view other primate species such as red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, grey checked baboon, view different bird species, tree species among others. Once the habituated chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to observe their behaviors, habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, hunt, play, fight, mate, rest, take photos and record the moments to your remembrance.
After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and head to Queen Elizabeth national park. While on the way you will enjoy thrilling views of the beautiful scenery, crater lakes, Rwenzori mountain ranges, tea plantations among others. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Elephant plains lodge-luxury/ Elephant hub-midrange or Queen Elizabeth Bush camp-budget

Day 5: Morning game drive/lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise
Today, you will wake up and enjoy an early breakfast and then your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an adventurous game drive in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will be able to view animals; elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, predators like lions, leopards, variety of bird species among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will drive to the landing site near the luxury Mweya safari lodge for a stunning boat cruise along Kazinga channel a water channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the scheduled boat cruise which begins at 2:00pm, you will be able to enjoy unforgettable views of the beautiful scenery, landscape, view animals such as elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks at a close range drinking water along the banks, view various number of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, aquatic bird species among other. After the boat cruise experience, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast on the sixth day of the 8 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will have a stopover at Ishasha sector where you will be able to view the unique tree climbing lions while lying up in acacia/ fig tree branches if you are lucky. After the game drive you will have en-route lunch and then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma lodge-luxury/ Buhoma haven lodge-midrange or Buhoma community rest camp-budget

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early breakfast on the seventh day of the 8 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari you will carry packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during trekking. After the briefing you will start trekking in the jungle which takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from place to place in search of food. During trekking you will be able to view other primate species like l’hoest monkeys, chimpanzees, view variety of forest birds, different plant species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be given an hour to spend with them in their natural habitat which gives you a great opportunity to watch them carry out their daily activities such as feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, playing, observe their behaviors, habits, take unforgettable pictures and enjoy video capturing.
After the one-hour encounter with the gentle giants you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking. You can opt to go for cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the batwa people, learn about their behaviors and the way they prepare their traditional food. After, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 8 Departure to Kampala
After breakfast, on the last day of the 8 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to set back to Kampala with a stopover for en-route lunch in Mbarara and another stopover at the Equator to take memorable photos and buy souvenirs. From the Equator you will continue to Kampala arriving in the evening. Upon arrival you will be dropped off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of choice.
