This 3 Days Wildlife Tour to Murchison Falls National Park is designed to include a scenic drive from Kampala with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking, a morning game drive in the park and an afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the base of the beautiful Murchison Falls, a hike to the top for impressive views. This trip offers a great opportunity to see Uganda’s Big Five animals’ species including leopards, lions, elephants, buffalo and rhinos at Ziwa, along with giraffes, hippos, and diverse bird species, among others.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer and Rhino Trekking
You will be picked up from Kampala or Entebbe and then driven northwards to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino trekking experience.
Proceed on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, potentially with a lunch stop in Masindi. Arrive at the park, check into your lodge, and enjoy a brief sunset game drive on your way to your lodge.
Day 2: Game Drive and Nile Cruise
On this day, start with an early morning game drive in Uganda’s largest National Park, searching for wildlife such as buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and lions on the savannah plains.
After lunch, head on a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. From the boat, you will have a perfect chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Your guide will transfer you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure
On this day, start with a final game drive or time to relax at your lodge. Optional activities like chimpanzee trekking in the nearby Budongo Forest.
Back to the lodge, have breakfast, and then start your drive back to Kampala, enjoy a picnic lunch in Masindi. End of the tour.
