This 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Tour leads you to the unique jungle of primates that are still remaining in the wild ‘’the great mountain gorillas. These mountain gorillas in the world can only be encountered in three neighboring countries that Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This trip leads you to Uganda’s mountain gorilla destination and guess what Uganda is gifted with two incredible places to trek the unique mountain gorillas. That is Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park both location in the south region of Uganda and the journey from Kampala or Entebbe estimates 8 to 9-hour drive and the journey seems to be shorter when you choose to use a domestic flight ‘’Aero link Uganda from Entebbe International Airport’’ which takes 1hour to land either Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip.

Note that; Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is recognized as the most visited destination by thousands of tourists all over the world, this is because it harbors the half remaining mountain gorillas that still exists in the world.

In order to access these gentle giant, you will need to purchase a valid gorilla permit in advance before your traveling date to the park.

Gorilla trekking in Uganda goes at USD 800 per person per day, compared to Rwanda’s gorilla trekking which goes at USD 1500 and Congo gorilla permits is the cheapest at USD 400.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and Travel to Bwindi National Park

Upon your agreed location in Kampala /Entebbe or Kigali – Rwanda, our professional safari driver guide will pick you up and give you a short briefing about a safari. You will then be transferred to the southwestern region of Uganda to access the house of primates. As you proceed to the Park, have stop in Kayabwe along Masaka road at the equator to experience memorable photography. Thereafter, proceed to drive to another stop in Mbarara for en –route lunch. After, drive straight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and arrive late in the evening, check into your booked accommodation for rest, dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Lodge – Luxury, Four Gorilla Lodge – Mid-range and Buhoma Community Rest Camp – Budget accommodation

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

You will wake up early to have morning breakfast, followed by pick up by your drive with packed lunch to drive you to the park headquarters for a short briefing about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. After briefing, meet up with the park ranger –guide to allocate you assigned gorilla family in a group of eight. The skilled park ranger will accompany you through the trekking trail heads in search of mountain gorillas and once you find them. You will be given one hour to spend with them as you watch them as they survive in the forest day long, feed, play and enjoy taking memorable photography. After, descend back to the meeting point to be rewarded your gorilla certification. After, go meet up with your driver guide to connect back to your lodge. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure to Kigali

Start the day on lazy morning breakfast, with option of doing culture tour to Batwa community. Or drive out of the park and proceed the journey to Kigali with en –route hot lunch. You will have board crossing ‘’Chanika border ‘’ to enter Rwanda. Upon arrival in Kigali, be dropped at Kigali International Airport or at your hotel. End of the safari.
