Day 1: Pick up and transfer Kigali to Ruhengeri – Volcanoes national park

Head to the city for a brief city tour exploring some of the attractions in the city including the Genocide memorial sites, kimironko market and many other various attractions that make the Kigali city worth a visit. After the city tour you will enjoy your lunch at any hotel in Kigali city before proceeding with your journey to Ruhengeri- Volcanoes national park. At the park headquarters, you will obtain your Rwanda gorilla trekking permit and connect to your reserved lodge for check in, dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park Rwanda
Rwanda Gorilla trekking: On day 2 of 3 days gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda, have an early breakfast, pack enough snacks and drinking water and be ready for a transfer from your lodge to the briefing ground where you will be able to join other trekkers as you get to know more about gorilla trekking, the dos and don’ts and many other necessary information before embarking on your adventure of searching for the mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s volcanoes national park takes about 2 -7 hours depending on the movement of gorillas since they are found of roaming the forest in search of what to eat. These gorilla leave their nests early in the morning thus trekkers have to arise as early as possible to start an early morning trek. Upon finding these gorillas, trekkers are allowed a maximum of 1 hour in presence of Gorilla recording short videos, taking photographs and many more. An hour spent with these primates is so rewarding and you will surely enjoy it. After an hour has elapsed, exit the habitat of the gorillas and head to the lodge for a relaxed evening.
