Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and fly to Kidepo valley national park-evening game drive
On the first day of the 3 days fly in Uganda safari to Kidepo valley national park, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel, brief you about the safari and then transfer to Entebbe international airport for your domestic flight with Aerolink Uganda to Kidepo valley national park. Flights to Kidepo valley national park only depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 12:30. Our driver guide will be waiting for you upon arrival at Apoka airstrip to transfer to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will relax at the lodge and then go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, klipspringer, reedbucks, bushbucks, bat eared fox, jackals, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight while on Uganda Safaris Tours.
Day 2: Morning game drive and Karamajong cultural tour
Morning game drive,
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days fly in Uganda safari to Kidepo valley national park, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in Narus valley which is also known as a water provision point. The Narus valley attracts large numbers of animals like buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs among others which will be drinking water in the valley. You will also be able to view different bird species like ostrich, Karamoja apalis, scarlet chested sunbird, Abyssinian ground hornbill, secretary bird among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Karamajong cultural tour
After lunch you will go for an interesting cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Karamajong who live in the neighboring villages. During the cultural tour you will be able to learn about their culture, tradition, way of living, visit the Karamojong manyattas, enjoy their traditional songs, dances among others. After the cultural tour you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and fly to Entebbe.
On the last day of the 3 days fly in Uganda safari to Kidepo valley national park, you will enjoy a relaxed breakfast and your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for another game drive where you will be able view some of the animals that you might have missed during the previous game drives. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for lunch where after you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Apoka airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield.
