The 2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour from Kigali seems to be a short safari tour package but memorable as you get to meet with our closest cousin the mountain gorillas. You will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a gorilla trekking experience. The fact that Bwindi is home to the half remaining mountain gorillas which are divided into four different gorilla sectors including Nkuringo, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Buhoma.
Bwindi National Park is home to more than 23 habituated gorilla families where gorilla trekking is conducted. This trip starts and ends in Rwanda.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Our professional driver guide, will meet you at a great point of location in Kigali, and brief you about the safari. Then, set off on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through a border crossing at Cyanika border in Kisoro. As you drive there, you will be excited with spectacular views of beautiful rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and beautiful scenery among others. On arriving at the park, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge – Midrange, Buhoma Lodge – Luxury

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park and departure to Kigali
After an early breakfast on the last day of the 2 days Uganda gorilla trekking tour from Kigali, you will check out of the lodge with your packed lunch boxes from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. After the briefing, you will start walking into the forest trailheads in search of gorillas while accompanied by the park ranger guide. The trekking experience can take between 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas. During the experience, expect to watch other primate species, different plant species, and birds among others. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with gorillas in their natural environment while observing their habits, and behaviors, watching gorillas feed, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos, and record the breathtaking moments.
After an hour’s encounter with the unique mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded with a certificate for your success in gorilla trekking. You will then, meet up with your driver guide to drive back to Kigali with a gainful view of the beautiful countryside as well as the rolling hills.
