Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Jinja
Depending on your location on the first day of the 14 Days Classic Uganda Safari, you will be welcomed by our safari representative driver guide brief you about the safari and then transfer to Jinja city. Upon arrival in Jinja, you will visit the source of River Nile and later connect to check-in your booked accommodation where you will refresh, have dinner and overnight stay at Nile front cottages

Day 2: White water rafting in Jinja /Source of the Nile
After breakfast, drive to Nalubale for your white water rafting experience. You will meet your instructors who will brief you about rafting and also provide you with rafting equipment such as life jackets, helmets, a rafting boat, Carbon Paddles, and rescue throw bags. Rafting takes almost the full day observing the different rapids. After rafting, drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Rhino tracking
You will wake up and enjoy an early delicious breakfast and set off to connect to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking experience. From Jinja to Ziwa Rhino takes about 4-5 hours. You will enjoy your lunch then connect for your rhino tracking experience. It will take 2-3 hours depending on the location of the rhinos. Continue to check-in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Ziwa Guesthouse

Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo national park
On day 4 of the 14 Days Classic Uganda Safari, after breakfast, embark on a 5-6 hours’ drive to Kidepo National Park where you will head on a game drive in Kidepo valley with en-route lunch in Gulu town. Continue to drive to Kaboong district a great location to Kidepo. Visit Kidepo with aim of seeing herds of buffalos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetahs as you enter the park. You will enjoy a slow drive and you can be sure to seize picture moments while on your game drive and you can have stops at any moment you please. Drive back to the lodge and spend the evening at leisure admiring the untouched wilderness. Dinner and overnight at booked lodge at Kidepo Savannah lodge

Day 5: Morning game drive and community tour
After breakfast, connect to Narus valley, a true wilderness for the early risers, you will set out for another rewarding game drive through the open savannah where you can easily adventure the lions, the Cheetah, leopards and other animals including; the Cape Buffaloes, African elephants, waterbucks, Klipspringer, Jackals and different antelope species
After enjoying your lunch, drive to visit some of the existing local communities around the park. The Karamojong people are known for a truly perfect culture similar to that of the Masai of Kenya. The Karamojong culture and norms is still pure and they have rejected civilization and still live like in the ancient times. The Karamojong are predominantly pastoralists and live purposely to fight for their cattle as it is in their belief that every cattle in the world belongs to them. They are a very amazing group of people with a very unique culture visible in their way of dressing code, cooking, dancing and other daily life activities. A visit to the Karamojong is a truly rewarding experience you should look forward to. Later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 6: Full day game drive in Kidepo national park
On day 6 of the 14 Days Classic Uganda Safari, have breakfast as you get ready for a full day game drive in the wide open savannah of Kidepo Valley with your packed lunch boxes. You will enjoy an impressive views of the morning sun shining over the hills of Lomej, the Lotukei Mountains to the north close to the Sudan border, the Morungole range to the southern boundary of Kidepo before the rays strike down to the endless valleys of Kidepo and Narus valley and also visit the Kanangorok hot springs and you will also watch various beautiful Ostriches among others. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison falls national park – Top of the falls visit
After breakfast, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda’s largest savannah national park and home to the most powerful water falls in Africa. The journey from Nakasongola covers 3 hours’ drive from Nakasongola entering the park via Kichwabanyobo gate. Proceed through Budongo forest and connect to the top of the Murchison falls where you will enjoy incredible views of beautiful water escapes via a narrow gorge creating a white form and strong sound. Sometimes a rainbow is seen deep inside the gorge. Then after, connect to your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Parkside safari lodge

Day 8: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Nile
After breakfast, connect to the delta area for your early morning game drive for chances of watching the early risers and other animals. This experience takes 2-3 hours depending on the availability of the animals. Back for lunch at your lodge then connect for your afternoon boat cruise on the Nile. This is yet another impressive activity to enjoy while in Murchison falls national park. There are both land and water animals to encounter on this boat cruise that ends with view of the falls at the bottom. You will explore animal species such as the hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and also different bird species. This boat trip takes about 2-3 hours. Drive back to relax at your lodge as above

Day 9: Nile delta boat cruise and evening game drive
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an exciting Nile delta boat cruise which starts from Parra jetty landing site and stretches to the shores of Lake Albert. During the Nile delta boat cruise you will be able to enjoy spectacular views of Murchison falls, large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in water, other animal’s species such as Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks among others along the shores, water birds, view fishermen who will be catching fish on the Lake Albert in dugout canoes and others.
After the Nile delta boat cruise, you will meet up with your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch where after you will embark for an evening game drive where you expect to view some of the animals that you might have missed in the previous activity. After the game drive, you will connect to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 10: Transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari guide to start your safari with a transfer to Kibale National Park a kingdom home to primates especially the chimpanzees and the best location in the world to go for chimpanzee tracking. Arrive in Fort portal late afternoon, have your lunch before you connect to your booked accommodation where you will refresh, relax, have dinner and overnight stay at Isunga lodge –budget, Chimpanzee Forest Lodge -Midrange

Day 11: Chimpanzee trekking – Bigodi nature walk
After your breakfast, connect to the park headquarters with your trekking gears and water. Meet with other trekkers and gather for a briefing about the rules of chimpanzees. Thereafter, you will be grouped in a group of 12 people and accompanied by the park ranger in search of the chimps. The searching experience may take 2-5 hours depending on their location. The chimpanzees in Kibale are quite easier to find and you will be allowed to spend one hour with them on finding them.
After lunch, drive to Bigodi wetland for a nature walk experience of primates and birding views. It takes about 2-3 hours walking in a wetland full of different bird species and if you are birder thus marking it the best place. Encounter other primates like the Colobus monkeys, Red vervet monkeys among others. Return to your booked lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight as above.

Day 12: Top of the world and Fort Portal city tour
Have breakfast, meet your safari guide to embark for the top of the world hike which takes you through the villages, tea plantations and offers you spectacular views of the mountains, crater lakes beautiful scenery among other.
After the top of the world hike, you will return to the lodge for lunch where after you will check out and transfer to Fort Portal town. Upon arrival visit Amabere Ganyamwiri caves and water falls and enjoy the walking through the caves filled with breast in form of rocks with dripping milk like liquid. The falls at the caves are refreshing. Thereafter, connect to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Fort Motel.

Day 13: Transfer to Semuliki national park-visit hot springs
After breakfast, you will drive to Semiliki national park which takes about 2-3 hours’ drive from Fort portal town. Upon arrival, you will visit Sempaya hot springs which are the main attractions of Semliki National Park. These hot springs are the largest in Uganda, divided into female and male however they both have a geyser that shoots up from 8 meters’ holes with a high temperature of up to 100 degrees Celsius. The strength and hotness of the springs acts as a cooking stove where you can boil eggs and in few minutes, it is ready to eat. After the hot springs visit, you will travel back to Fort Portal with en-route lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 14: Departure to Kampala
On the last day of the safari, you will have a delicious breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive back to Kampala. On the way, you will have en-route lunch and then travel back to Kampala. Arriving early evening and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at any place advised.
