Day 1:  Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

You will be met by our guide who will pick you up from your hotel in Kisoro- around Mgahinga National Park and transfer to Mgahinga National Park. Arrive at the park headquarters for a short briefing, then embark out for the gorilla trekking. This gorilla trekking experience is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search of these mountain gorillas.

You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures whose company you will observe for 1 hour. The activity in Uganda can take 3-7 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour to observe them as they play around, feed their younger ones, learn their lifestyle as well, and enjoy your packed lunch boxes with memorable picture-taking for your future remembrance. After the trek back to the park headquarters meet your safari driver. You will then reconnect with your driver guide and drive back to your hotel in Kisoro.
