On your 1 Day Gombe National Park Tour, you will be picked up early in the morning with our expert representative from your hotel, then transfer to Kibilizi ferry, but this is not included in the package, but not included in the package. After that, you will depart from Kibilizi Ferry to Gombe National Park, approximately 3 to 5 hours, through Lake Tanganyika, offering a scenic journey with views of wildlife and landscapes and a great chance to experience the park from a different perspective.
Detailed Itinerary for the 1 Day Gombe National Park Tour
Day 1: Safari to Gombe National Park
You will be picked up by our safari driver-guide upon arrival or at your hotel in Kigoma. You will dive into nature. Gombe National Park is a unique destination, home to its chimpanzee population and the pioneering research of Dr. Jane Goodall. Gombe is a capital primate safari location, the most spotted primates are chimpanzees, and other primates to encounter include Olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and Vervet monkeys, among others.
You will be accompanied by a forest guide who knows information about chimpanzees. On finding chimpanzees, you will get to learn about their behaviors and habits, among others. After the camp trek, walk back to the meeting point to meet up with your driver guide to drive you to have an authentic lunch at a restaurant in the afternoon. After lunch, continue with a forest walk to see another attraction, such as Kikumba Falls or Makanga Falls, and climb to Jane Peak for an unforgettable view of the park, looking like the green of Gombe forest. Then, you will trek back to the headquarters for the transfer to Kigoma town. On arriving in Kigoma town, you will enjoy a transfer back to your hotel with memories and smiles from the unique park in Tanzania.
