Primates

Cheetah can be found in grassland and savannah habitats of Kidepo Valley national park. Mongoose species include Egyptian mongoose, Marsh mongoose, white tailed mongoose, slender mongoose and banded mongoose can be seen in Mweya peninsular in Queen Elizabeth national park. Genet are night species such as servile genes, large spotted genes, small spotted genes which can be seen on night game drive in Semliki Wildlife Reserve.
Herbivores Species
They include Buffaloes, elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Rhino, Zebra, Antelopes, Uganda kobs among others, Zebras can be spotted in two national parks Lake Mburo and Kidepo Valley. Rhinos in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary along Murchison Falls and the rest of species can be spotted in all national parks of Uganda.
Reptile Species
They include Crocodiles, pythons, snake, monitor lizards, chameleons, viewed in all national parks.
Birds
They include African eagle, vultures, turacos, many more.
Otters species are aquatic predators that are wetland inhabits in Lake Mburo National Park.
Best Time for Wildlife Viewing
Uganda wildlife viewing experience is most enjoyed in dry season from December to February and June to September. Then rainy season occurs in September to November and March to May thus making road transport impassable. But all activities can be carried out throughout the year like Gorilla trekking and chimp tracking which are done on hiking the forest trails by foot the experience can end up being spoiled due to heavy rain in the wet season.
