Park Entrance Fees for Kibale National Park  : Park entrance fees are charges levied to any protected place before accessing it for the activity or entertainment. Kibale national park entrance fees are stipulated by the [UWA]Uganda Wildlife Authority which is in charge for the stipulation of all the Uganda national park entry fees. However, Kibale national park is a capital of primates and as a renowned destination for Chimpanzee tracking and Habituation.

Kibale forest has quite spectacular ecosystems that attracts the livelihood of the Chimpanzees and other primates. The park hosts over 1500 individuals and it’s a reason as to why Kibale national park is referred to as the ‘’primate’s capital of the world’’.

Besides being a home to Chimpanzee, Kibale national park is also home to over 10 other species of primates like Black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, night primates like the pottos, bush babies plus other animals such as forest elephants, Pangolins and birds among others. The highlight of safari in Kibale national park is Chimpanzee tracking and Habituation.

Documents to carry with for easy identification and accessibility to Kibale national park

Foreign resident is requested to submit in their valid working permits for a minimum of one year.

The foreign non-resident is required to present in their passport at the gate to access the park

Members of East African is expected to present in their valid national identification cards at the gate in order to enter the park

Individual park entrance fees

The individual park entrance fees to Kibale national park are categorized under the status of the Visitor that is; Foreign nonresidents, Foreign residents and the East African members. Therefore, foreign nonresident has to present in a passport and the working permit valid for one year same as the foreign residents, East African members have to present in a valid national identity card at the park entrance.

An adult is expected to a payment of USD40 as park entrance for the foreign nonresident.

The foreign resident visitor is expected to pay USD30 as park entrance fees and East African members is expected to pay UGX20,000 for park entry fees of Kibale national park.

Children who are foreign nonresident is entitled to pay USD20 as park entrance charges. Child who is foreign resident in Uganda is entitled USD10 and East Africa member is entitled UGX5000 as park entrance fees. In this case, children are considered to be below the age of 12 years.

The student groups of East African citizen are entitled to pay UGX3000 as park entry to Kibale national park.

The tertiary and the university students are charged UGX5000 as a pass to kibale national park.

The pupils and students that belong to different wildlife clubs are expected to pay a small fee of UGX2000 as park entry fee to the park.

Annual park entrance fees to Kibale national park

The annual park entrance fees to Kibale national park is only allowed for the foreign residents and the East African citizens;

An individual is expected to pay USD350 and UGX150000 for the East African Citizens as annual park entry fees.

The couple of foreign resident is expected a payment of USD500 as annual park entrance fees.

The couple of East African members is expected UGX20000 as Kibale national park annual entrance.

A family of foreign resident with four children is charged USD700 as annual park entry.

A family of east African citizen is charged UGX300000 as annual park entrance fees.

The foreign resident corporates group is entitled USD1500 and UGX2.5 million of the East African citizens for annual corporate pass.

A safari guide who is east African citizen is entitled UGX100000 as annual park entry to the park same applies to a taxi driver.

The tour operator who is a foreign resident is entitled USD50 as annual park entrance fee and a tour operator who is East African citizen is charged UGX125000.

Vehicle entry fees

A foreign resident with a motorcycle is expected to pay USD30 and UGX20,000 for East African member as a parking fee to the park

A foreign resident with saloon cars is expected to pay USD40 to enter the park and East African citizens are expected to pay UGX20,000 as a parking fee respectively.

The foreign resident who is East African citizen is charged USD50 and UGX30,000 for East African citizen as a parking fee to Kibale national park.

Aircraft Fees

Glider and micro lighters; Foreign resident is expected to pay USD10 for aircraft landing fees at the park. The East African citizen is expected to pay UGX20,000 as aircraft landing fees.

Flights up to 3seaters; East Africa citizens pay UGX40,000 for landing fee and foreign resident is entitled to pay USD20 as a landing fee.

4 to 6 seats; Foreign residents are charged USD30 and UGX60,000 for East African as landing entry fee at the park

7 to 14 seats; Foreign resident is charged to pay USD40 and UGX80000 for East African aircraft as air landing fee respectively

15 to 20 seats; Foreigner residents are charged USD50 and members of East African expected a fee of UGX10,000as a landing entry fee in kibale national park.

Aircraft carries up to 21; Foreign resident of Uganda entitled USD60 and East African UGX120000 respectively.

Helicopter; Foreigner residents entitled to pay USD100 and UGX250,000 for East African citizen as a landing fee in Kibale national park.
