Lake Mburo National Park Uganda – Entrance Fees
Lake Mburo national park entrance fees are charges made before someone accesses the park’s activities are paid at the gate of the park. The park is one of the savannah tourists’ destination in Uganda located in the western region in Kiruhura districts, its positioned very close to Kampala the main city of Uganda just few kilometers to access the destination.
Lake Mburo national park harbors with various wildlife species including giraffes ,impala ,zebra ,bush buck ,warthogs ,leopard ,hyenas ,topi ,buffalos and Jackal among others ,it’s renowned as a house of antelopes that makes the park more known offering the best game drive encounter .It’s also a paradise of birders with notable species such as rare shoebill stork ,Brown chested wattled plover ,African finfoot ,Tabora cisticola, Carruthers’s cisticola ,Saddle billed stork ,Abyssinian ground hornbill ,Great snipe ,Saddle billed stork papyrus yellow warbler, White winged warbler ,Africa fish eagle many more.
N.B All park entrance fees are based on 24 hours per day more than that it’s counted as an extra day.
Lake Mburo national park entry fees are not levied on children below 15 years, its 15years and above
Personal documents needed before accessing the park;
The foreign resident is required to present in valid passport and East African citizens present in their valid National Identification Card or passport to access Lake Mburo national park.

Park entry fees
Individuals fees
These fees are charged to any individual basing on the status in order to access Lake Mburo national park and they are paid as entry permits to allow you enter the park.
Foreign nonresident adult is entitled to pay USD40, foreign residents USD30 and East African residents pay UGX20,000 as individual fees to access the park.
Foreign nonresident children entitled to pay USD20, Foreign residents USD10 and East African residents pay UGX5,000 as entry fees to enter Lake Mburo national park.
Education institution and student’s fees
Some visits Lake Mburo national park for both tours and educational purposes and those group of people include students from Universities, secondary and primary schools.
East African students ‘’pupils’’ are charged UGX 3,000, students from university pay UGX5,000 to enter the park.
East African wildlife clubs are charged UGX2,000 as a student’s entry fees to Lake Mburo national park.
Student groups are charged UGX3,000 to access the park.
Tertiary institutions are entitled UGX5,000 to enter Lake Mburo national park.
Annual park entrance fees
Annual park entrance fees are paid on the annual basis and allow travelers to enter the park yearly. Annual fees are paid accordingly as individuals, groups and family and must not exceed more than 4 individuals. It is done by only two statuses the foreign residents and the East African citizens.

Foreign resident entitled to pay USD350 as annual park entry fees to Lake Mburo national park.
East African citizens entitled to pay 15,000 as annual park entry fees to the park
Foreign resident groups are entitled a charge of USD500 and the East African citizen pay UGX200,000 as annual entry fees to enter the park.
Family of foreign resident with maximum of 4 children are charged USD700 and the East African citizenship of a family with maximum of 4 children pay UGX300,000 as annual entry fees at Lake Mburo national park.
The corporate groups of the East African Community pay UGX2.5millions as annual entrance fees to enter the park.
Safari guides are entitled to pay UGX100,000 annually.
Taxi driver is entitled to pay UGX100,000 as annual entry fees to Lake Mburo national park.
Tour company driver access Lake Mburo national park at a free charge yearly.
Vehicle park entry fees
The vehicles are charged basing on type of the vehicle, size of the car and the duration of the time spend with in the park because fees paid differ on time and car type.
Motor cycle entry fees
Foreign nonresident is charged USD30, foreign resident pays USD5 and East African citizen is charged UGX10,000 as a parking fee to Lake Mburo national park.
Foreign nonresident with saloon cars are entitled a fee of USD40 to access the park.
Foreign residents of Uganda entitled a fees of USD10and the East African community UGX20,000 park entry fees.
Minibuses entrance fees
Foreign nonresident with a minibus is charged USD50 and foreign resident USD15 and the East African citizen entitled to pay UGX30,000 as entry fees for minibuses.
Pickups and 4×4 Wheel drives
Foreign residents of Uganda are charged USD15, foreign nonresident USD50 and the East African community are entitled UGX30,000 as a pickup entry fees to Lake Mburo national park.
Buses and Lorries entry fees for parking
Foreign nonresident is charged USD150, foreign residents of Uganda USD75 and The East African citizens are charged UGX150,000 as parking fees for buses and lorries to the park.
School buses entry fees
Foreign resident of Uganda is charged USD25, East African citizen UGX50,000 as parking fees to Lake Mburo national park.
Delivery vehicle per entry fees
Foreign resident of Uganda is charged USD10 and East African citizen UGX20,000 to enter the park.
Aircraft landing fees
Pilots who fly Enroute are not charged but they only pay the landing fees when spend more than 2 hours. They will be charged both entrance fees and the landing fees excluded to be paid by the passengers.
Flight carries up to 3 seater
Foreign nonresident is entitled to pay USD20, Foreign resident of Uganda USD20 and East African members entitled to pay UGX40,000 as a landing fees at Lake Mburo national park
Flight carries 4 to 6 seater
Foreign nonresident charged to pay USD30, Foreign resident of Uganda USD30 and East African citizens entitled to pay UGX60,000 as a landing fees to Lake Mburo national park.
Flight carries 7 to 14
Foreign resident is entitled USD40, foreign nonresident pays USD40 and the East African members pay UGX80,000 as a landing fees in the park.
Flight carries 14 to 21 seater
Foreign nonresidents are charged USD50, Foreign resident USD50 and the East African member pay UGX100,000 as landing fees to the park.
21 seaters and above
Foreign resident of Uganda is charged USD60 and Foreign nonresident pay USD60 respectively.
Helicopter
Foreign resident is charged USD125, foreign nonresident USD100 and the East African citizens pay UGX250,000 as landing fees to the park.
The parking fees per day is entitled UGX10,000 but the landing fees are excluded from entry fees and must be paid by the passengers.
