Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up at the hotel and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On your first day of the trip, you will have to arrive early morning at Entebbe Airport around 6 am to start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is an estimated 8 to 9-hour drive. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our safari driver guide who will brief you about the safari. On your way, you will have a stopover along Masaka road at the equator, enjoy memorable photos, view the experiment made, visit the craft shops, and then, continue a drive to Mbarara town for en-route lunch. After lunch, you will proceed on the journey to the park passing through large green banana plantations, woodland, beautiful rolling hills, terraced landscapes. Arrive at the park, check into your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge –Mid-range, Buhoma Lodge – Luxury

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will wake up early and have a heavy breakfast on the second day of the 5 Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari, carry a packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest trails, which take about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on their location in the forest.
During trekking, you will enjoy impressive views of other primates, animals, plants, bird species among more. On finding them, you will be given an hour to spend with them in their natural habitat which gives you an exciting chance to learn more about their behaviors, habits, feed, and play as well as take photographs and record the moments to show people back home.
After an incredible moment with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to go for an optional cultural tour where you expect to interact with the Batwa pygmies, learn about their amazing culture, way of living, enjoy their traditional performances and others. After the cultural tour, return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation. Have dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Today, wake up have a good breakfast, then check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to be driven to Kibale National Park – home capital to primates especially the chimpanzees and other small primates as well as various beautiful bird species. On the way, you will have an en-route lunch in a beautiful town of Fort Portal and enjoy spectacular views of the terraced farmlands, Kigezi hills, traditional homesteads, crater lakes, and tea plantations among others. Arrive at the park late afternoon, check into the lodge, rest, or overlook the beautiful nature around the lodge. Have dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge – Mid-range, Chimpundu Lodge -Luxury

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Transfer to Kampala
After an early breakfast on the last day of the 5 Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking on the forest trailhead which can last 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on where the chimpanzees are located. Once the chimpanzees have been located, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a great opportunity to learn more about their lifestyle, and behaviors, watch them feed, play in trees, take photography, and record videos with a flashless camera.
After the one-hour experience with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the starting point to meet up with your driver guide to drive you back to the lodge for lunch and rest.
Later on, you will go for a nature walk around the Bigondi swamp area the best place for birders and primate viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Depart to Kampala or Entebbe
After morning breakfast, you will start the journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch along the way. After lunch, proceed the journey to Kampala to be dropped to your hotel or at any advised place.
