2022 entrance fees to Kidepo valley national park; Kidepo valley national park is located in the north eastern part of Uganda in Kaabong district bordering with Uganda and South Sudan. Kidepo valley national park is a home of about 77 mammal species including buffaloes, elephants, klipspringer, Uganda kobs, oribi, lions, leopards, elands, Jackson’s hartebeest, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, lesser and greater kudu, mountain reedbuck, Guenthers dik dik, caracal among others and over 475 bird species Kori bustard, ostrich, Karamoja apalis among others.
Entrance fees to Kidepo valley national park are the fares that are charged by Uganda Wildlife Authority to visitors above the age of five years allowing them the access the park and engage in different interesting activities including game drives, nature walks or hiking, bird watching, cultural tour among others. A day’s park entrance ticket in Kidepo valley national park is valid for twenty four hours from the time of entrance and extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day. Children are persons aged between 5 to 15 years and persons below 5 years are exempt.

Foreign non resident adults are charged 40 USD per person, 30 USD per person for foreign residents and 20,000UGX per person for East African citizens.
Children
Foreign non residents are charged 20 USD per child, 10 USD for foreign residents and 5,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Uganda pupils or students in groups are charged 3,000 UGX per person
Tertiary institutions or universities are charged 5,000 UGX per person
Uganda wildlife clubs are charged 2,000 UGX per person
Annual park entrance passes
Annual park entrance passes apply to all protected areas for foreign residents in Uganda and East African citizens only. Foreign residents require a work permit valid for one year to qualify for an annual pass.

Foreign residents are charged 350 USD per person and 150,000 UGX for East African citizens
Couple
Foreign residents are charged 500 USD per couple and 200,000 UGX for East African citizens
Family with a maximum number of 4 children

A safari guide and a taxi driver are charged 100,000 UGX annual park entrance pass.

Buses and Lorries for foreign non resident are charged 150 USD per entry, 75 USD for foreign residents and 150,000 UGX for East African citizens.

Aircraft landing fees
Aircraft landing fees exclude entry fees payable by passengers and pilots en-route do not pay entry fees if they spend less than 2 hours in the park.

7 to 14 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 40 USD, 40 USD for foreign residents and 80,000 UGX for East African citizens.
15 to 20 seater aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 50 USD, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens.
21 seats and above aircraft for foreign non residents is charged 60 USD, 60 USD for foreign residents and 120,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Helicopter for foreign non residents is charged 100 USD per landing, 125 USD for foreign residents and 250,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Guided game drives (private)
During the guided game drives, only pre-registered vehicles will undertake night game drives and use of UWA guides is mandatory for night game drive.
