The 1 Day Uganda Chimpanzee Tracking Safari is a short holiday safari that takes you to Budongo forest which is found in the promises of Murchison Falls National Park –Uganda’s largest game park, located in northeastern Uganda region. The trip is approximately a 4 to 5-hour drive from Kampala to main safari destination.
You will leave Kampala early enough after your breakfast and drive to Budongo forest. Upon arrival at the meeting point at Budogo forest for briefing about the chimpanzee tracking dos and don’ts. After, head into forest trails while accompanied by a park ranger to look out for habituated chimpanzees with your packed lunch boxes. Once, you meet these chimpanzees one hour will be given to you to spend with them.
After the trekking experience, drive back to Kampala to be dropped off at your place of residence or any advised place.
Arrive at the forest enjoy an early lunch, and then after go for Chimpanzee tracking in this original Mahogany Forest accompanied by the ranger guide. You will be tracking to habituated chimpanzees meaning that they are used to human presence. This is a process that takes several years training the Chimps. When you locate them, you will be given one hour to observe them and learn about their lifestyle. Then at 6 pm after tracking, drive back to Kampala leaving with a rewardable experience in your lifetime, and be dropped at your place of residence or at Entebbe International Airport.
